The Miracle Worker is a 1962 American biographical film about Anne Sullivan a blind tutor who becomes a teacher to Helen Keller; a blind and deaf student.

The film talks about the life of Helen Keller, a girl who was blind and deaf since infancy. The film explores her frustration as she is unable to communicate with people, nor have the will to control her violent mood swings.

Unable to deal with her, her parents contact the Perkins School for the Blind for assistance who sends Anne Sullivan to tutor her. Anne breaks down Helen's walls of silence and darkness using persistence, love, and sheer stubbornness while empowering her to take on the challenging world.

The film was directed by Arthur Penn and was nominated for five Academy Awards.
